Controlled Vacuum Infusion

Category: Special Techniques — Logged by Tom on February 11, 2008

CVI is when one models the flow and carries out vacuum infusion job.
The big advantage for me is the non-contact nature of adding the epoxy.
This first one was modeled by Henny van Oortmarssen, he seems to do even large projects with ease, and he is willing to provide a lot of information. My first venture into infusion went off without a hitch even though my core was a piece of marine ply which I will use in the boat as hardware support and a bag on each side as I don’t have a airtight table yet.
