    Hello,
I am very interested in how you designed the Kick up rudder pivot point utilising the ram. If possible would you please be able to provide me some details and ideas.
I am presently building the transom steps on my catamaran and I quite like the idea of Kick up rudders, but I need some ideas when it comes to the installation of the ram and pivot points.

Looking forward in hearing from you

    Regards Tony Pincott

    G’Day Tony,

Sorry I can’t help you directly as I haven’t built that area yet and all I have is Bob’s plans which are naturally only licenced for one boat. Therefore you would have to ask Bob for the detail. I know he sometimes does small items like this from time to time.

    Regards,

    Tom

    Hi Tom,
I was wondering what type and where you got your vacuum pump and tank etc for your CVI station.
    Thanks,
    Nathan

    Hi Nathan

Tom purchased the vacuum pump, catch pot and gauges from Absolute Vacuum and Engineering.

Re type, here’s an extract from the invoice:
    EM20/B Vacuum pump with lead
Vacuum Gauge 63 mm, 0 to -100 kPa, 1/4″BSP direct bottom, Glycerine filled

    Catch-Pot 10 l HDPE
Vacuum Gauge 100 mm, 0 to -100 Kpa, 3/8″ Bottom Direct Connection

    Hope that helps,
    Judy
